Several sued after chain reaction car accidents in Alabama

A woman who is mourning the loss of her husband has filed a lawsuit against those deemed responsible for his death. She is reportedly not the only one pursuing justice in the situation. The state of Alabama has filed a similar claim in circuit court regarding the same string of car accidents.

The woman's husband, age 35 at the time, was traveling on a road where the right lane had been shut down. Road conditions may have been compromised due to inclement weather that day. However, the driver deemed responsible for the man's death, as well as injuries to several others, was said to have been traveling too closely behind the next car, which was the one driven by the woman's husband.

Also, in the line of traffic were state workers who were preparing to remove road barriers near a bridge in the vicinity. After the impact of the initial collision, chain reaction crashes occurred. These accidents resulted in injuries to several of the workers.

Car accidents resulting in fatalities often lead to lawsuits filed by the estates of the victims. In this situation, the widow of the man who died has filed on behalf of his estate. Recovering victims may act on their own behalves in Alabama civil courts to seek compensation for any damages they have sustained. Recalling the details of an accident as accurately as possible is often crucial toward achieving a positive outcome. Such situations are often highly emotional for those involved, which is why acting alongside an experienced attorney may help alleviate some of the stress associated with the process.
