Several recent Alabama car accidents resulted in fatalities

Many people in Alabama have had the blessing of knowing someone in their lives that is considered a very caring and helpful person. In fact, people often tell stories of someone in their own family or someone they know at work who always goes above and beyond to reach out and help others in their hours of need. This is what happened just after 9 p.m. on a recent Thursday, when several car accidents occurred within moments of each other.

A young woman was working at a beverage store when she reportedly witnessed a terrible accident outside her window involving a car and a person on a motorcycle. There had allegedly been two motorcyclists, but the other one managed to avoid collision. The driver of that bike, however, was later charged for leaving the scene of an accident.

As for the motorcyclist who was struck by the car, the woman went out to the road to try to assist him. This did not come as a surprise to her co-workers, who say she was always the type of person who did her best to help others. However, on that day, she made the ultimate sacrifice as a Good Samaritan. Moments later, as she rendered aid to the fallen motorcyclist, another vehicle came along and hit both of them.

Neither the motorcyclist nor his rescuer survived their injuries. In the past, other car accidents have occurred in Alabama when people exit their vehicles to check flat tires or try to assist travelers involved in collisions. In situations where it is determined that driver negligence has played a role in causing a particular accident, those injured may file personal injury claims in civil court to seek compensation for damages.
